In July 2017 the Nonprofit Center of the Berkshires launched a new magazine for the nonprofit sector. Called “Connections,” the publication has an initial circulation of 1,000 copies, available for purchase in local bookstores, select retail outlets, at the NPC office and online via the NPC web site, as well as through subscriptions.
There is no other printed publication just for nonprofits. Given that Berkshire nonprofits support nearly 24,000 full and part-time jobs, and generate $1.6 billion in revenue annually, there is no question that this vibrant group should have its own vehicle to share information and connect, not only with each other, but with the community that supports and benefits from them.
A bi-annual publication, Connections features nonprofit profiles, feature articles on popular topics, regular columns from a variety of influencers such as local legislators and nonprofit leaders, photographs of nonprofit missions in action, and practical information. The magazine is supported largely by advertising.
